The clients needed more space for their young family. A new pavilion was added, consisting of the living, kitchen and dining areas with a main bedroom above. The existing house was refurbished as the children’s wing. The clients wanted to incorporate some tree-logs saved from a nearby forest after a recent bushfire. They also wished to capture some playful elements from a childhood memory of the television series ‘H. R. Pufnstuf’, particularly the stone floors.
